Scott is an a warm, friendly and outgoing individual who is known around the area as a karaoke singer, a remote & in person piano teacher (since 1993) and the original founder of a 31 year old music school in which he also employs others that he headed up with his late wife, Harlene from 1997-2017 and now his new bride Kathy as of early 2024.

Scott's children's books center upon
a special dog named Brody
who was differently abled and helped to teach children everywhere that It's OK to be different, important to be kind, and that with the support of others, there are ALWAYS ways to overcome challenges.
The follow up to this first book, because sadly, Brody had to cross the Rainbow Bridge, teaches children how to cope with loss and grief in a way that honors the healthy expression of sadness, and explores the miracles of healing along with a visit to Doggy Heaven.
The third book which will soon be in the works will introduce children to Brody's brother Bobbles who lives here on Earth on THIS SIDE of the Rainbow Bridge and helps to teach children all about appreciating the blessings in our lives including the important people, gifts and even furry friends who remain with us always in our journey through life on our beloved planet Earth..
There is the possibility, pending Mr. Richard's availability (hoooman father of Brody and Bobbles) and the cooperation and rules governing various venues who may book a reading with Scott - that children could be treated to a special surprise visit from Bobbles himself!
(Let's make these events even more special by keeping that a secret from the children)

Scott is also in the process of creating a series of group classes with a curriculum that will be shared with parents and other educators.
The logistics of this are still in the planning stages.
Scott will begin actively promoting these special programs as well once all of the details and logistics have been worked out
and the full curriculum as well as the fine tuning of the one time presentation have been fully developed and finalized for these programs to be ready to premier.
Program availability is limited due to Scott's dedication to his long-established music school.
Scott looks forward to presenting and encouraging our youth of the joys of learning a second beautiful language such as is Spanish.

Scott is also currently exploring the possibility of returning to performing professionally for nursing homes and assisted living facilities and the possibility of utilizing Zoom for broadcasting to distant clubs or ports of call in the tropics (eg. Margaritaville locations), or performing atmospheric music in a local bar / restaurant or to providing entertainment locally for special occasions like holiday parties.
Another possibility that Scott is looking into is to providing home visits locally to seniors or again individuals who may be currently living with the grown adult children providing care and opportunities to live with family prior to any eventual placement in a care facility.
Like any of Scott's other special programs that are currently in the works prior to being offered, there are time and geographical constraints that must be considered in light of Scott's dedication to his long established music school:
Scott's Remote & In Home Piano & Keyboard Lessons.

Scott advanced to Spanish literature in college at the University of Delaware (B.A. Psychology - class of 1989).
He has always taken advantage of any and all opportunities to speak Spanish with native speakers and earned As all through his high school and college studies of this beautiful language.
He has taken to date as of 2024, 7 separate vacations in either Cancun or Playa del Carmen and during all of those trips and enjoyed speaking with the resort employees and others as much as possible during those vacations.
The first 5 were with his now late wife Harlene (2017) including one with their son who was 12 at the time.
The last 2 were with his new bride, Kathy for their honeymoon in July of 2022 for a week and blessed to have had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Cancun again in July of 2023 at the same resort where he and Kathy had their honeymoon at the Grand Park Royal Cancun.
(Highly recommended).
Scott teaches 3 of his remote private piano students exclusively in Spanish and since his return from the 2 week vacation in Cancun to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary in the summer of 2023 he has enjoyed reading short stories in Spanish and has particularly enjoyed the books authored by Olly Richards.
Scott has written and self-published 9 literary works to date since delving into this endeavor beginning on St. Patrick's Day of 2017.

Scott has written and self-published 9 literary works to date since delving into this endeavor beginning on St. Patrick's Day of 2017.
All of Scott's books are available on Amazon.
During the course of this time up until early 2022 he created a 5 volume series entitled Weigh More Than A Pun A Day Plus Irony which features creative, fictional stories of various lengths that are filled with puns and wordplays.
Throughout the series, Scott takes some of the random story lines contained within any of the volumes and expounds upon them.
Most of the wordplays and puns are not one-liners but rather, Scott has proven to have an uncanny ability, with great wit, to create cogent and cohesive fictional stories that still manage to be heavily sprinkled with his unique puns and wordplays.
Please note than some of these stories contain adult themes and are therefore not *****appropriate for minors *****
To date, apart from this pun book series, Scott has authored two children's books that center around the true life story of an amazing and differently abled Boxer dog.
The first, entitled It's OK to Be Different was featured on a news story on WJZ TV on 11/24/20.
The second which was illustrated by his wife, Kathy is entitled The Adventures of Brody at the Rainbow Bridge and helps to teach children about grief and loss.
Since the writing and self-publication of those 7 books, Scott has delved into his most ambitious literary projects which include his nearly 500 page autobiography entitled Harmony Always Returns and most recently, his treatise on the subject of narcissism and familial emotional abuse - a sensitive topic in which Scott has bared his own soul in hopes of helping others who may be or have been subjected to this painful experience to know that they are not alone.
Entitled Narcissism and the Journey of the Family Scapegoat: A Quest for Truth, Healing and Freedom - although his sharing details of his own personal experience with this is contained within this book - just as it is in his autobiography within the context of his larger life experience(s), much of the book centers around his unraveling of this topic with a clinical and empathetic approach as well as philosophical elements.
In his relatively new 400 + page book (self-published on 2/9/24) Scott presents the case for forgiveness of our abusers as a vital and integral component of our healing.
Scott is capable of being quite prolific as demonstrated in these longer books which he wrote and edited himself from scratch in 9 and 7 weeks respectively.
Apart from these literary works with more to come, Scott has completely authored all of the content of his website for his music school, as well as this website as well as that of "The Room Wizard."
He also penned 2 autobiographical business articles which were respectively published in December of 2019 and 8/31/22 in Greenspring Valley Neighbors and JMoreliving.com

Primarily a versatile piano player with strong vocals, Scott began playing piano when he was 7 years old when he first began his 7 years of formal study.
In high school, Scott taught himself basic guitar chords and since college has enjoyed opportunities to play and sing with others at open mics as well as informal jams.
Later on he also taught himself some basic flute.
Apart from his 31 years of teaching piano in students' homes - as well as more recently largely remotely since 2020, Scott has also headed up a music school that employs other instructors since 1997 with his now late wife, Harlene until her sudden, unexpected passing in August of 2017 and after a few years of adjusting to life in his widowerhood as well as the pandemic, his new bride, Kathy (wed 6/26/22) now also teaches some beginner students in person and helps him now in the administrative and customer service aspects of his long established music school.
Scott enjoys entertaining others and spent nearly 10 years providing regular weekly entertainment for nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the Baltimore Metro area approximately 8 to 10 hours per week.
He also spent nearly 8 years as the church pianist for a Baltimore city based church for for their weekly worship services and was also a member of the choir.
Scott enjoys recording himself either alone or with his wife or friends either doing karaoke or playing music at home and is in the process of expanding his personal music channel, Scotty's Music Cafe.
He is available for special occasions and coming soon in 2024, he plans on actively promoting various music programs that he has in mind, pending some of the final stages of fine-tuning his new found business partnership with his new bride Kathy in managing their now jointly held music school: Scott's Remote & In Home Piano & Keyboard Lessons.
Scott is well known around his local area not only for his music school but his karaoke singing including some venues in which he is perhaps aptly known as the blue-eyed soul singer.
His stage name is "Scotty Too Hottie" and the karaoke hosts at some venues have been known to announce, upon his arrival that "Scott Too Hottie is 'in da house!' "...
Among some of his other near future plans, Scott hopes to donate one of his colorfully painted New Orleans style spinet pianos to any more local bar / restaurant who might be interested in having him provide light-hearted atmospheric instrumental music.
